We will be running sessions every Tuesday 10-2. We are looking for regular trainees to commit to getting to know the vegetable garden and wild spaces here at Omved.
These sessions will be led by trained medical herbalist and seasoned urban food grower, Vicky Chown who manages the kitchen gardens at Omved.
Trainees will learn all the vital skills in growing food in an organic permaculture garden including: seed sowing and propagation, tending to plants and their individual needs, pruning, fruit, shrub and tree maintenance, harvesting, seed saving, and more.
Interviews will be held as soon as possible and the placements will begin soon after successful applicants are arranged.
The placement is unpaid, although trainees receive tea and snacks during mid-morning break, and will be given the opportunity to attend other workshops conducted by Omved Gardens.
