Join us to understand the basics of fermentation; from brine to dry fermentation, making the most of your ferments, hassle-free methods, enhancing flavours, preventing food waste and supporting your wellbeing.
Your host: Jo March: Head of OmVed Gardens Creative Kitchen
Josephine Marchandise is the Head of the Regenerative and Creative Kitchen at OmVed Gardens. Food hybrid, she is passionate about growing, cooking and fermenting plants. Inspired by the wild, she believes that as a chef you always have to start outdoors, and nurture your relationship with the soil/land when creating dishes. Jo has been exploring and experimenting all sorts of techniques with fermentation for a few years. She is a member of the UK Fermenters Guild and regularly teaches hands-on workshops at Omved Gardens in London and in France.
Please bring your own jar - we encourage reusing old jars!
- a taster of homegrown and homemade ferments from the OmVed kitchen and garden
- creation of a lacto-ferment in a medium jar with OmVed garden herbs and vegetables (depending on harvest)
