About the event

Join OmVed Gardens in-house photographer Will Hearle, for a photography session around OmVed Gardens.

Our focus of the day will be 'Photographing in Gardens'; this is a great opportunity to develop your skills, share experience and enjoy the surroundings. We will talk through some basic principles of photography, then head out into gardens to capture the beautiful summer abundance. Will will be on hand to review photos, offer advice and answer any of your questions. This session is aimed at beginner photographers. If you have a camera please bring it along, otherwise a smartphone works well too!

About the host:

Will Hearle is OmVed Gardens in-house photographer. He has been capturing the evolution of the landscape at OmVed Gardens since 2020. He is particularly drawn to the ways in which nature quietly emerges in the urban sphere. He is taken by nature's complexity, from the granular level to expansive vistas. He has a background in various forms of visual content - producing, DOPing & directing commercial films, music videos, short films and working on feature films in the camera & lighting department, photographing for editorial, music, BTS, event photography and portraiture. @willhearlephoto

About OmVed Gardens:

Since 2017, we have been carefully restoring a previously tarmacked land in Highgate Village, north London, to provide a space to explore food, creativity and ecology for health and climate resilience.

We are a community interest company featuring a permaculture garden, a creative zero-waste kitchen and a growing educational, events and exhibition space. Our aims are to realise our deep entwinement with each other and the more-than-human, through thinking around food, gardening and ecological awareness, to improve diversity at all levels (seed, food, species, participation) and to use creativity and nature-led knowledge to help tackle the climate emergency. · @omvedgardens
