Protecting the diversity of our foods is vital to feeding a growing global population. Yet, we’re losing these resources every day. With a 2020 deadline, we need immediate action to safeguard the world’s biodiversity. This is urgent. Adding diversity and colour to our plates is critical for the health of people and planet– but it must also taste good.
As such, the London Action Hub will dedicate a day to focusing on the foundation for good biodiversity– soil and seeds, and its relationship with the microbiome. Kicking off at 9:30am, the gathered chefs and food system actors will deep dive into biodiversity with a range of speakers and panellists and a colourful, diverse menu to match. We will add a detailed agenda here closer to the date.
Open to chefs and anyone interested in sustainability in the food industry.
