Meet the children of Agontimy School and cook-along with School Meals on the Menu
Join us for a Virtual Chef’s Table with School Meals on the Menu and experience a unique insight into school lunches in West Africa through an interactive conversation and cook-along.
In this workshop we learn about the importance of hot school lunches in Benin by hearing from the students at Agontimy school. For some of them, school lunch is the only meal of the day, and in order to boost nutrition they cultivate vegetables on site. We’ll be taking a look at the kind of greens they’re growing; spinach and moringa but to name a few.
There will be a list of ingredients provided in advance so you can cook a delicious school lunch under the guidance of top Cameroonian chef Christian Abégan.
This interactive event is free and will be hosted by WFP Chef Advocate Arthur Potts Dawson and supported by OmVed Gardens and World Food Programme (WFP).
