Exploring vision and focus through floral collage

Join Alice McCabe, mixed media artist and director of sustainable floral art and design studio Metafleur, for a workshop that uses nature observation to re-awaken our eyes and encourage focus.

During the workshop, the artist will share some floral collage methods that have been developed to actively exercise the eye and mind following too much screen time. She will suggest both temporal natural material arrangements in the landscape as eye exercises and guide participants in the creation of small floral artworks with a variety of sustainably sourced flowers, and collage materials provided.

About the facilitator:

Alice McCabe is a mixed media artist and director of sustainable floral art and design studio Metafleur, Integral to her practice as a floral artist is to create both sustainable and conceptual designs drawing attention via flowers and their meanings to point to other contexts alongside their beauty.
